How to travel
Ryan air flies twice daily from Stansted to Knock and three times
on Sundays (1hr 20mins) for £58 return. A taxi to Knock from
the airport (12 miles) costs £15. Cars can be rented from
the excellent car hire service providers.
Travel Documents
Traveling to Knock, you must carry these documents along
with yourself, on arrival in the United Kingdom or when seeking
entry through to the town, you ought to produce on request by the
Immigration Officer:
(a) a valid national passport or other document
satisfactorily establishing his/her identity and nationality:
and,
(b) such information as may be required to establish
whether he/she requires leave to enter the United Kingdom and,
if so, whether and on what terms leave should be given. Visa requirements
are as for the United Kingdom as a whole.

Where to Stay
There are several hotels providing accommodations suiting all pockets.
Knock's newest hotel, within walking distance of the shrine, is
designed to complement the architectural style of the Basilica.

to sweet dish to treat your taste buds.
Children under 14 years of age are allowed into pubs, which hold
a children's certificate. They must be accompanied by an adult and
are restricted to those areas, which have been certified suitable
for young children.
Shopping
The respected Lourdes of Ireland offers you with multitude of shopping
malls and complexes including 3ft-plaster statue of Our Lady of
Knock, hand-knitted Aran sweater from the Traditional Irish Craft
Center, art galleries, the tacky souvenir shops nearby, gift shops
and more.
Excursions
The coast of Connemara is only an hour and a half's drive away and
the opportunity to see this rugged outcrop of the British Isles,
do not miss it.
For the most inspiring coastal section of the drive, take the R341
to the idyllic fishing village of Round stone. Continue south through
Connemara National Park to Clifden. The best view over the town,
the bay, and the Twelve Bens Mountains is from the Sky Road to the
northwest.
